New article: “More resilience against anti-democratic phenomena”

The article “More Resilience against Anti-democratic Phenomena” by Patricia Hladschik and Markus Pausch has just been published in the new issue of International – Die Zeitschrift für internationale Politik.

Democracy is in crisis worldwide. Strengthening it within Europe and creating awareness for political mechanisms is all the more a concern of the EU. From this starting point, the project “REDE – Resilience Through Education for Democratic Citizenship” started in 2021 with the idea of strengthening the democratic competencies of those who work with young people and children outside the school context.

The article highlights the different phases of the project and gives an insight into the resulting methods manual “Democracy Education against Antidemocratic Tendencies. Competencies for a Democratic Culture in European Social and Youth Work”.

The article has been published in German. You can download it here.
