In 2022, the Commission proposed a revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive. This review contributes to achieving the objective of the European Green Deal and the commitment of the 2018 Plastics Strategy and the key measures of the proposal will contribute to the agenda of Clean Mediterranean Sea! (CMS!), the academic start-up founded by the Vienna Forum for Democracy and Human Rights. The Vienna Forum participated in the open public consultation on the adopted act and shared its views on the implications of the revision for the CMS! Agenda on the Website of the Commission’s website.The feedback received will be summarised by the European Commission and presented to the European Parliament and the Council for consideration in the legislative debate.
